East Beach

Right at the far eastern tip of the Galveston Island, Texas, the East Beach lies like a haven for a great beach activity. It is a good place to chill and a great spot to appreciate nature and people. Visitors consider the East Beach as the coolest and grandest beach in Texas because of its famous beach parties. Aside from plain entertainment, fishing and bird watching are also the beach’s great past time for enthusiastic visitors. As a spice for entertainment in the beach, live bands and annual events like sand castle competition as well as promotions and other related activities are set up for the outpouring visitors especially during peak seasons.

The East Beach allows drinking. You can bring along your friends and have a great fun while relaxing and chilling. On weekends, especially during the months of May through August, the beach offers chairs and umbrellas for rent. You can stay in a quiet spot or chill out with the crowd. Occasionally, the beach holds events like concerts and festivals. It is open for anyone who wants to chill out in the sun.

The Beach is open from March through May from 9am to 5pm and on weekends of these months from 9am to 6pm. While from June through September the beach opens from 9am to 6pm and on weekends from 8am to 7pm. The East Beach is located at 1923 Boddeker Drive Galveston, Texas.
