Seawolf Park

The Seawolf Park, located on the Pelican Island, is a memorial to the United States Navy Sargo-class submarine known as the USS Seawolf. The park is very unique in itself because it has a submarine, remains of a merchant ship and a destroyer escort designed to conduct antisubmarine warfare. All of them are housed in one museum area.

The Seawolf Park is also home to two preserved US Navy ships, the USS Cavalla (SS-244) and the USS Stewart (DE-2388). Aside from that, you will also find the conning tower of the Balao-class submarine USS Carp (SS-338) and the sail of the Sturgeon-class nuclear attack submarine. There are still lots of interesting displays in the Seawolf Park and it would be great for you and your family to explore all of them. If you want to spend a day with your family fishing or picnicking, then you can do so on the well-maintained pier or along the shoreline of the park.

Admission fee to the Cavalla and Stewart is $5 for adults and $2 for kids under 11 years. They are open year-round from dawn to dusk. For more information, call them at (409) 770-3196 or visit them online. It would be a great experience for everyone in the family to spend time together at the Seawolf Park.
